Dr. Behnia holds a Bachelor
of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Cum Laude) from Boston University as well
as a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland.
He attained his specialty certificate in Endodontics, upon graduating from the
University of Pennsylvania Dental School with honors. Dr. Behnia has
published and lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
He is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the AAE,
ADA, MSDA, and ASFO.
Dr. Behnia currently serves as treasurer of the Maryland State Dental Association's Dental Association Company and on the Information Technology Committee of the American Association of Endontontists. He has also served on numerous committees at both the MSDA and AAE.
Prior to opening his own practice, he was an Assistant Professor and Director of Pre-doctoral Endodontics for four (4) years at the Department of Endodontics at the University of Maryland, where he is now a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor.
